New to the safety industry, Lawrence brings a diverse and varied working background to Countryman Safety. Lawrence spent 7 years as a Police Officer in the Western Australian Police service working in several metro locations as well as regional postings including the Kimberley region and the mid west – Gascoyne region. In the last 9 years, Lawrence has worked predominately in Native Title roles including heritage and community liaison, moving briefly to the Department of Fisheries to work as a Fisheries Officer in his hometown of Denham. In the last two years Lawrence has juggled a Managing Director's role for a small indigenous surveying business around these Native Title commitments.

In April of 2019 after several months of preparation and planning Lawrence, Adam Caruso and Danny Nolan established Countryman Safety with Lawrence moving into a full time role as Managing Director. The diversity and experience Lawrence has gained in these different roles has given Lawrence the motivation and drive to create a business that not only succeeds, but creates opportunities for other aboriginal people.
